Virgin Media Ireland Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 3 May, 2017.
1. Definitions
The Virgin Media Ireland Service means the service provided by Virgin Media Ireland Ltd by which persons can access the Internet at certain locations.
2. Acceptable Use
Users of the Virgin Media Ireland Service may not perform any action, including the transmission or reception of data, whether willfully or not:
2.1. that is unlawful,
2.2. that is threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory,
obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, or promotes hateful
or racially motivated actions;
2.3. that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret,
copyright or other proprietary rights of any party;
2.4. that disseminates any unsolicited advertising, promotional
materials including junk mail, spam, chain
letters, pyramid schemes or any other form of
solicitation;
2.5. that leads to harming, or an attempt to harm, minors
in any way;
2.6. to impersonate any person or entity or falsely state
or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
2.7. that involves adding, removing or modifying headers
or other identifiers in an effort to deceive or mislead others,
or disguise the origin of any material transmitted through the Virgin Media Ireland
Services;
2.8. that transmits software viruses or any other computer
code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit
the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications
equipment;
2.9. interferes with or disrupts the Virgin Media Ireland Service; or
servers or networks connected to the Virgin Media Ireland Service; or any other
computer network;
2.10. circumvents or attempts to circumvent any requirements,
procedures, policies or regulations of any computer network or telecommunications
system, including security policies;
2.11. that would expose Virgin Media Ireland to civil or criminal liability;
2.12. to resell the Virgin Media Ireland Services or make it available
to a third party without Virgin Media Ireland's authorisation;
2.13. to use the Virgin Media Ireland Services for high volume data transfers,
or to host a server, without the written permission of Virgin Media Ireland.
3. Violation
3.1. Users who violate this AUP may have their accounts suspended
or terminated at Virgin Media Ireland's discretion, without notice and without
prejudice to other rights Virgin Media Ireland may have.
3.2. No refunds will be given for accounts suspended or terminated
for violation of this AUP.
3.3. Virgin Media Ireland may, at its discretion or as required by law,
cooperate with any competent authorities or third parties in the
investigation of any suspected or alleged crime or civil wrongdoing,
including disclosing user and network information. This may include
the disclosure of user and usage information.
4. Enforcement
Failure to enforce any provision of this AUP does not constitute
a waiver of any rights Virgin Media Ireland may have
